So I haven't written anything in a while. encountered a little streak of bad luck at 200nl so I moved back down to 100nl for a while. Although I might move back up or something at some point.

I had about 1.5k in neteller when they died so im not sure if I will be able to get my money. I really hope so obv since that is a substantial fraction of my bankroll. That would be a pretty bad beat to lose it.

Yesterday I decided I would try to become a HU master. I have been playing on both FT and UB. On UB I like the speed of the software, but it is harder to find a HU game. I just sit at a 200nl table with no people at it until someone shows up. But then they dont really stay HU for long depending on the time of day. On FT they have the specially designed HU tables which are pretty nice and continent, but on the other hand, they attract a different crowd than playing HU on a 6max table. At first i thought that they would be much better as i saw a couple of guy multitabling it so I assume they were all pretty good. However, when I just opened a table it seemed like retards sat right down so idk. There may be more retards than i initially thought.

There are a lot of super effective ways to tell if the person is retarded. First off, they will buyin for the default instead of the full amount because they are too retarded to click the full buyin button. Second, they will never rebuy at all. For all they know, sitting at 200nl is the same as sitting at an $80 HU SNG. Third, they will never raise pf. Poker is a game where the best FIVE card hand wins. Before the flop you only have 2 cards. Clearly if you were to bet, you could not have a hand yet so it would be a bluff. They avoid these trasnparent bluffs and also fick off every one of mine by calling all raises.

In other big nows I am running super good at HU thing so far. Yesterday was my first day at them and I finally made 1k in 1 day. I was pretty much winning the whole time exept for one match where I got stacked 2-3 times. I don't really think that I played that badly though. It was more bad beats like trips over trips and set vs backdoor straight. But then we ended up pretty deepstacked and I won it back when we got all in on a T high 2 heart board when I had AhKh and he had small hearts. Basically he was dominated.

6 max

I played about 1300 hands of 100 6max today and a tiny bit of 200 6max. I finished down about 1 buyin at 100 because of two stupid hands. The first was a $600 pot at 200 nl where we got all in preflop when he called my 6bet with TT. Obviously I had AA and he wins. Like 80% of the times or whatev I would be up $500 now. bah. Then the other dumb hand was where I triple barrelled some fool but he called down with some bad hand. His stats seemed alright so I thought maybe he would be capable of locating his fold button, but alas he was not.

Also, I played exactly 1337 hands today.

Level up!

I was dominating 100nl so much that I decided to move up a level to 200 nl. So far I have been doing alright at that. I only have like 3-4k hands so it isnt very meaningful, but atleast I haven't lost so much that I would move back down.

200nl is starting to get into the range that I consider pretty high stakes. Not in the sense that it is actually high stakes, but in terms of the amount of money I can make from it. Like it is pretty conceivable that I could make more money than either of my parents through grinding 200 and 400nl for a year for prolly fewer hours than they work. Plus it's not like I have any need for extravagant amounts of money. So basically I'm sot sure if I will try to move up any more levels past 400 maybe.

Got back to cali an the first day of the year and moved to my new house. Clearly this year is going to be a good one as I have started out running at 11.5 ptBB/100 over the first 4.3k hands. Today was prolly my winningest day to date at $872. I was going for the 1k in a day plan after I started out well, but I got tired before I could grind all the way there.

Session 1: Short session in the early afternoon. I stop early cuz I am down 2 buyins and dont feel like playing anymore. It was really weird cuz I didnt get stacked once. I also didnt win a significant pot the entire time. I just kept having to fold to people who obviously had me beat. There were 2 people i think who ran the under appreciated c/c the nuts on the river. It's really frustrating to lose that much in all small pots cuz you gotta go through losing like a million loses. dum.

Session 2: After taking a small break I played another short session. This one continued in the same manner until i was down 3.5 buyins.

Session 3: Long session after dinner. I really wanted to get unstuck to make it 5 winning days in a row. However this one started out MEGA dum. Got stacked like 5 times on super dooper dum garbage. And almost ever time I got my money way ahead. Got 2 outted, 3 outted and KOed by backdoor draws twice. Initially i did not understand how a player could call pot sized bets on 2 streets with a backdoor draw and then a gutshot. However my opponent was kind enough to explain that he was "on a steal". Anyways I was down 8 buyins. Super dum. It was kinda like that scene in the truman show where there is the big storm and hes all like "that all you got???" and they are all like "...meh i guess so" and the sun comes back out and the people rejoice. Anfh00 i started to mount my comeback when I realized this dood at my table would call any flop and turn bet, as long as he had atleast a backdoor draw. So i make top pair with QJ and pot it twice and he calls down. I was really worried cuz against a sane person you wouldnt expect 2nd pair with a medium kicker to win against someone who called two pot sized bets. Luckily he is a turkey so i win. Then i take the rest of his $200 in another similar hand. Then i keep winning for a while until I am only down $130. This is an acceptable amount to lose i think since I made more the day before. Although this dous break my 4 day winning streak.

My broll is over 4k now which is supposedly enough to play 200 nl, but i dont think i will do that yet since i just started playing 100nl. I dunno how much ill try to get before moving up, but i def wanna get a ton of hands at 100 so that i am confident that i am a long term winner at it.

Big Day

I am up $511 today. I think this is a personal record. And I only played like 800 hands today. Just run good. I also had the largest pot of my life and actually won it (unlike by previous best which i split). That hand as not really that interesting, just the standard set>set> shorty with TPTK. I've been running so good that i think I am rolled for 200NL now. Howev, I don't think I will be moving up since I haven't really played that much 100.

The Comeback

I've been playing 100 nl full ring recently. I guess it was kind a weird thing to do since I had been running bad at 50nl. I guess it was kinda silly of me to be playing 50 with almost enough money to be playing 200. So far I've only played about 1200 hands at 100 for a profit of 600. My sleep schedule is screwed up so all my sessions have been played at some weird time like 6am. It's not the best time to be playing but there are still fish around. The problem is that it is hard to find enough fish to fill all the tables.

Anyways the exciting news is that i am finally up money on full tilt. I went busto with the first 600 i put on there and then made two more deposits for 1100. So now I finally have more than 1700 to show for it.
