Winter Break Update

We are already 2-3 days into xmas break and I have busted out about 3k hands. I am running really hot at the moment at about 14.35 ptBB/100. So from when I went back to full ring I have been winning at a rate of almost 7 ptBB/100 over ~11k hands. This is pretty solid considering I broke even for the first 5k hands. I'm not sure how much rakeback I will be receiving because the full tilt bonus takes away from the MGR or something. So far I think I have busted out a little over a third of the bonus.

Overall, I think I am playing really well at the moment. Obviously it is easy to say that when running hot though. I think I have been getting a lot bettor at knowing when to fold trouble hands like overpairs. Perhaps playing 6max made me over value hands a little bit. Thanks to some scripts I have been 12 tabling full tilt on my two 1400x1050 monitors. It is a little crowded, but I still think I manage to keep up a relatively solid level of play.

I think I might take a shot at 100nl again today. So far every attempt at playing 100 nl has eventually led to huge downswings, but i guess i oughtta keep trying.

The part of my game I think I most need to work on is the suited connectors. I'm pretty unsure about what I should be doing with these from pre-flop onwards. At first it seems that I want to see flops for as cheaply as possible. But now I'm starting to think that flopping hands in limped pots is stupid. It is extremely rare for someone to get stacked in limped pots it seems. The reason is not that the stacks are larger relative to the pot size an the flop, although that could be part of it. The main problem seems to be that people are too willing to fold. Perhaps the soln to this is that I need to be taking more stabs at the limped pots so that I can get action an occasion. Also, they seem to hit much less frequently than pocket pairs so I don't really wanna be raising them a lot and getting HU to the flop. The best situation for them seems to be when there is a preflop raise and then like 2 cold callers and you have position on them. Then it is likely that soweone will be attached enough to their hand that you can stack them post flop. I remember supersystem talks a lot about them, but I'm not sure how useful his advice is. I think he says to limp anywhere with SC's, 1, and 2 gappers with the intention of calling a raise. Also raise them sometimes from late position. I'm not sure how deep stacked or how many players his games usually had though.
